Ariha’s distraught and emotional mother Dhara Shah remembered late External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj amid the struggle to get her child back.
A girl child of Indian origin is in the custody of Child Services in Germany. Here the girl’s mother was seen protesting outside the German Emby in Mumbai. Indeed, Germany’s child services took a 2-year-old girl away on suspicion that she was being physically abused by her parents. But as of February 2022, she may not be able to live with her parents again, despite the criminal charges being dropped. The family alleges that the center in which the girl was kept in Berlin for 20 months. Now he has been picked up from there and sent to the mentally retarded center. The mental condition of the child is being treated as bad. The Ministry of External Affairs said that they have been continuously advocating for the return of Ariah Shah to India.
Government of India in an effort to bring back the girl child
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that we are requesting Germany to return the girl (Ariah Shah) to India. She is an Indian national and was placed in Germany’s youth welfare custody in 2021 when she was 7 months old. Now he is in foster home for last 20 months. The Emby has repeatedly urged the German authorities to ensure that Ariha’s connection with her cultural, religious and linguistic background is not compromised and that the child is provided with cultural immersion at the Indian Cultural Center in Berlin. Consular access was sought. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that we are urging the German authorities to make every effort to send Ariha to India at the earliest. We are determined to ensure Ariah Shah’s return to India.
Remembered Sushma Swaraj
The statement from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs came after Ariha’s parents made repeated requests to meet External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar. The parents have been continuously meeting the authorities in India to intervene. Ariha’s distraught and emotional mother Dhara Shah remembered late External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj amid the struggle to get her child back. Sushma Swaraj, she was a mother. That’s why she understood the pain of a mother. Even while in opposition, he always supported the cause. She used to say, if the child is an Indian citizen, then we know how to take care of our child. This was his stand. It’s been 20 months. I believe that if the Government of India intervenes. If PM Modi intervenes in this matter then my daughter will get justice. She is an Indian girl. There is a Gujarati girl.
