HEYThe National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a series of warnings for thunderstorms in the coming hours and rain of up to 100 mm/day in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná due to the page of the extratropical cyclone.
This Wednesday (13), there is a red alert for the occurrence of significant rainfall accumulations of 60 mm/h or greater than 100 mm/day in areas of Porto Alegre, part of the Metropolitan Region and part of the Southeast Encosta of Rio Grande do Sul . Cities in the Metropolitan Region such as Guaíba and Barra do Ribeiro have already issued warnings about river elevations.
Until Thursday morning (14), coastal winds may occur, with gusts between (50 km/h and 90 km/h) on the coast of Rio Grande do Sul, also reaching the coast of Santa Catarina and Paraná.
Isolated areas of the North of Rio Grande do Sul, all areas of Santa Catarina and part of Paraná may experience storms with moderate to heavy rain, thunderstorms, the possibility of hail and gusts of wind between 50 km/h and 90 km/h.
The temperature drops in the next few hours in the three southern states of the country. Inmet issued a potential danger alert for a drop in temperature between 3°C and 5°C from 6pm this Wednesday.
