Release:

Israel’s attacks on Gaza continue after Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack called the “Aqsa Flood” on the morning of October 7.
Half of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million consists of children, and the number of children killed in Gaza in the first 3 weeks exceeded the average number of children killed in the world in the last 3 years.
According to World Health Organization (WHO) data, more than 40 percent of the 7,028 Palestinians killed in the ongoing conflicts since October 7 are children.

Children were the ones who suffered the most in Gaza.
According to data provided by the UK-based non-governmental organization Save The Children, based on Hamas-controlled health authorities, more than 3 thousand children were killed in Palestine in 3 weeks.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Israel killed 9,061 Palestinians, including 3,760 children and 2,326 women, and injured at least 32,000 people in the attacks. In this context, 5 children are killed every hour in Gaza.
Save The Children announced that the number of children killed in Palestine in the last 3 weeks is more than the number of children killed in one year in conflicts around the world in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
2913 CHILDREN DIE
In the reports of the UN Secretary General titled “Armed Conflicts and Children”, it was stated that 2 thousand 985 children died in 24 countries with conflict in 2022, 2 thousand 515 in 2021, and 2 thousand 674 children died in 22 countries in 2020. While no information was given about the number of countries in the 2019 report, it was noted that 4,019 children were killed in conflicts around the world.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health published a 212-page report containing the names, identity information and ages of those who died in the Israeli attacks on Gaza between 7-26 October. Accordingly, 2,913 of the 7,028 people killed in Palestine were children.
In Israel’s attacks, 133 babies under the age of 1 and a total of 444 babies under the age of 3 lost their lives.
171 children aged 3 years old, 1527 children of primary school age (4-13 years old) and 523 children of high school age (14-17 years old) lost their lives in Israeli bombardments.
MOST OF THE WOUNDED ARE CHILDREN
WHO announced that a significant portion of the 18 thousand 482 people injured in Palestine since October 7 were children.
In CNN’s report, based on Israeli officials, it was stated that more than 1,400 Israelis have lost their lives since October 7, 30 of them being children.
UNICEF: GAZA IS TURNING INTO A CEMETERY FOR CHILDREN
UNICEF Spokesperson James Elder stated that they are concerned about the deaths of children in Gaza, which is under intense Israeli attacks, and that Gaza has turned into a cemetery for children.
Emphasizing that children in Gaza have been negatively affected by the conflicts that have been ongoing since October 7, Elder said, “We are concerned about the increasing child deaths in Gaza. “Gaza is turning into a cemetery for children,” he said.
Elder reiterated UNICEF’s call for an immediate ceasefire for the conflict and the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid supplies to Gaza, saying, “Children in Gaza are not dying only because of the bombardments, they are also dying because of the lack of medical care they need.” said.
THE SITUATION IS TERRIBLE IN UKRAINE
On the other hand, thousands of children could not return to their homes in the Kharkiv region, where heavy clashes took place since the first day of the Russia-Ukraine War and many settlements were destroyed.
According to data from the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Ukraine has more than 6 million citizens under the age of 18. More than 1 million of them were registered as “under 5 years old”.
In the data published by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), it was stated that 544 of the 9,614 people who lost their lives in the Russia-Ukraine War, which broke out on February 24, 2022, until September 10, 2023, were children. It was reported that 1180 of the 17 thousand 535 people injured in the war were children.
According to Save the Children’s July data, an average of 3 children die or are injured every day in the Russia-Ukraine War.
In the data published by Ukraine in June, it was shared that 19 thousand 501 children were forcibly taken to Russia during the war. (AA)
