It’s over for the Blues in Singapore after the elimination of Félix Lebrun


Félix Lebrun stopped in the round of 16 of the WTT Grand Smash tournament in Singapore. He lost this Thursday to the beautiful face of the European champion Dang Qiu, after recovering a deficit of two sets on the reigning European champion (10-12, 8-11, 11-4, 11- 5, 9-11).
The youngest of the Lebrun brothers was the last Frenchman in the running in this first and for the moment unique Grand Slam tournament on the world circuit, after the elimination on Wednesday of Jianan Yuan, in the eighth and also beautiful, by the Chinese Qian Tianyi ( 11-9, 11-9, 5-11, 2-11, 6-11).
In doubles, Félix Lebrun, associated with his brother Alexis, lost by the same score in the round of 16, against the Japanese Yukiya Uda and Shunsuke Togami (11-6, 7-11, 5-11, 11-8, 5-11). Camille Lutz and Prithika Pavade left the competition at the same stage, beaten 3-1 by Hong Kong’s Doo Hoi Kem and Zhu Chengzhu (8-11, 6-11, 11-7, 5-11).
The finals of this Singapore Grand Slam are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
