Jastrzebski unsurprisingly, Ankara in golden set to qualify for Champions League semi-finals

Jastrzebski easily disposed of Friedrichshafen (25-14, 25-20, 25-16). Semi-finalists of the Champions League last season, the Poles enforce the hierarchy to join this stage of the competition once again. The Germans, who fell from Tours in the eighth, never knew how to reverse the trend and suffered two defeats in three sets.
After losing the first leg 3-1, Italy’s Lube Civitanova beat Turkey’s Halkbank Ankara (31-29, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20). Tied after the two matches, the qualification was decided in the golden set and it was Ankara who emerged victorious (15-12). The Turks will therefore face Jastrzebski in the semi-finals.
Winner of the first leg, Perugia this time had to go to the tie-break to dispose of Berlin (24-26, 25-21, 22-25, 25-17, 15-13). The Italians will face the winner of the series between Kedzierzyn-Kozle and Trento (3-2) whose second match is scheduled for Thursday (8:30 p.m.).
