Three works are featured in the next season of the Lido 2 Paris. A clic for the reopening of the room at Christmas: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, by Stephen Sondheim. A creation whose working title for the moment stops at The flute. Libretto inspired by the notes left by Goethe imagining a sequel to Mozart’s masterpiece. Pamina and Tamino have a child. The Queen of the Night and Sarastro argue over who will lead her education.
Goethe had written forty pages of notes to bait the Vienna Opera. The house counted its sous too much for the author of Faust goes on to write a booklet. As for the composer… Mozart being dead, the question had remained unanswered.
