Jeremy Ward, new signing of Stade Français, arrives this weekend (Quesada)

South African center Jeremy Ward, whose Stade Français announced the recruitment at the end of August for two seasons from the Durban Sharks, "will be there this weekend" after obtaining his visa, the club coach announced on Thursday. Parisian Gonzalo Quesada.

“His work permit took seven weeks to arrive (...); at the beginning of the week, he went to Johannesburg to get his visa and he was granted this morning (Thursday, editor's note). So he's flying tomorrow (Friday) and he'll be there this weekend,” Quesada said at a press conference.

Ward (26, 1.87m, 92kg), called upon to replace Fijian Waisea Nayacalevu and New Zealander Ngani Laumape, who left in the offseason, never wore the Springbok jersey but was captain of the "Baby Boks", the selection of the under 20s.

Stade Français, which travels to Lyon on Saturday on behalf of the 4th day of the Top 14, is in fifth place in the standings, with eight points.
