Johannes Boe dominates the pursuit at Nove Mesto

It was obviously the Norwegian Johannes Boe who dominated the pursuit of Nove Mesto (Czech Republic), despite two penalty rounds, for a fault committed on the final target of the two standing shots. It is his 16th victory this season, a record he already held, and the 71st victory of his career in the World Cup.

As often, he is ahead of his brother, Tarjei Boe, who will have been a little better at shooting with a single fault (19/20). The podium is completed by the Swede Martin Ponsiluoma, particularly efficient on skis considering that he missed 5 targets in total, including three on the 2nd shot lying down.

The French Fabien Claude and Antonin Guigonnat, who crossed the line in the same time, 1’37.9 from the winner, are credited with 5th and 6th places. A nice performance overall despite four errors committed in shooting. Quentin Fillon Maillet withdrew before the start of this pursuit, victim of the Covid.
