Defeated on the Suolo pitch, Juventus Turin fell for the first time in the league.
Juventus Turin lost for the first time this season on Saturday at Suolo (4-2) as part of the 5th day of the Italian championship.
Juve conceded a first goal on a big error by their Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny (12th), then came back to Suolo with a goal against his camp from Vina (21st) under the threat of Dusan Vlahovic.
Just before the break (41st), Italian international Domenico Berardi, coveted all summer by Juve, gave Suolo the lead again with a superb recovery.
Federico Chiesa brought the two teams level (78th), but Juve’s defense gave in again four minutes later against Andrea Pinamonti.
Juve’s nightmarish afternoon ended with an own goal from Federico Gatti (90+5) who returned a free kick taken near the corner post by his… goalkeeper into his empty goal.
The most successful club in Italian football, 2nd before the start of the 5th day, fell to 4th place with 10 points, behind Inter (12 pts, one game in hand), AC Milan who defeated Verona (1-0) on Saturday (12 pts) and the surprising Lecce team, victorious over Genoa (1-0) on Friday (11 pts).
Unlike their rivals for the title, Juve, deprived of European competitions due to a double sanction, did not play a match in midweek.
For its part, Suolo moved from 17th to 11th place (6 pts) thanks to its second victory of the season.
