Lance Armstrong takes part in a spat between Pinot and Vaughters

The French rider reacted to a criticism from the manager of the EF Education team regarding his attitude. Unlikely, Lance Armstrong even got involved and defended Pinot.

A confusion like the most clic, but an improbable support. Thibaut Pinot was strongly criticized for his attitude on the Giro by Jonathan Vaughters, the manager of the EF Education team.

The latter had split a provocative message on Twitter congratulating Ben Healy and indirectly alluding to the French : “Proud to see that Ben Healy congratulated the winner and did not come to cry in front of the media to explain that life is sometimes unfair. Nice attitude. Nice person. Handsome runner.”

Identified on Twitter by several Internet users, Thibaut Pinot replied with: “who are you ?very laconic. To top it off, he saw an unlikely supporter join the conversation: Lance Armstrong.

A former teammate of Vaughters on the US Postal team, the American responded to Pinot’s message with an inflammatory comment: “Who is he ? A ing clown. At least based on the 30+ years I’ve known him.”
