The Cannet volleyball players retained their title of champions of France by beating in the final, like last year, Mulhouse, dominated Sunday in Alsace (3-1) on the same score as in the first leg.
These are the only two championship titles on the Volero list, created in 2018 from the ashes of the Le Cannet-Rocheville Entente.
Only sixth in the regular season after changing coach in February, and recalling Croatian Mladen Kasic, the Cannettanes also had to systematically go through a support match to reach the final, where they raised their level of play.
Sunday, carried in part by their Bulgarian Eva Yaneva, MVP of the match, they ed the Mulhousiennes after a first run-in set (15-25, 26-24, 26-24, 25-16).
Mulhouse, first in the regular season, was forced to win on any score in order to offer themselves a decisive golden set.
