Lens has fun against Angers and takes 2nd place at OM

The game: 3-0

To fight against racial discrimination, the people of Lens had decided to exchange their jerseys for Angers, but the course of the meeting did not see the roles reversed between the Blood and Gold players and those of the SCO. Sensations of the season, Franck Haise’s proteges marched on their opponents, dead last.

After a somewhat slow start in a four-man defense, the Lensois accelerated after their move to three behind, from the 19th minute: mastery at all times, a meeting folded from half an hour into the game, and a final score of 3-0 for a net success. Carried by an Openda currently in great shape (see below), the formation of Pas-de-Calais could have imposed itself more widely, but the essential was done.

Thanks to his striker and his captain Seko Fofana, author of the opener (26th), Lens followed up perfectly after his card at Clermont (4-0) and especially took advantage of it to steal, at least temporarily, the second place at OM. For the SCO, what to say? Every week looks the same, and the only question is just when he will be officially relegated to Ligue 2.

The player: Openda, record holder of the 21st century

Loïs Openda is a man of series, and he proved it this season by already signing two hat-tricks. The last dated from the previous match, in Clermont (4-0) and, if he did not score three goals against SCO, he still scored a double, which is not nothing. Four minutes after Fofana’s opener, the striker played Camara before quietly adjusting Bernardoni (30th). The festival was therefore not over because, just seconds after the start of the second period, the Belgian international did it again. Fourteen goals in a Ligue 1 season, no one had done so well in Lens in the 21st century. Openda, it’s done, has already made its mark in history.

This is the total points of Angers after 28 days. No one has done worse in the history of the French Championship.
