Victorious over Canada and Spain on Saturday in Dubai for the first stage of the SVNS, the French women’s rugby sevens team is qualified for the quarter-finals, even before its last match of the day against the USA.

Two matches, two victories for the French women’s rugby sevens team to Dubai. Victorious over Canada (29-0) then Spain (28-7) on Saturday, the Blues are qualified for the quarter-finals even before their last group match against the USA.

This first stop in Dubai marks the opening of the season of the world rugby sevens circuit, the World Series (renamed SVNS). Led by David Courteix, the Blues are more than expected this year. Olympic vice-champions at the Tokyo Games in 2021, they are aiming for the title in Paris this summer. They have also never won the slightest victory on the world circuit.
