“Let me sell off”: the clip of the Lille sale, parody of Dalida, is a hit on social networks

Lille friends, get ready to have it in mind all weekend. The City of Lille has put the package in the communication this year on the occasion of the Lille flea marketreleasing a parody clip of the famous song by Dalida “Let me dance”, becoming “Let me sell off”.

For nearly a minute, a Dalida look-alike walks all smiles through the streets of Lille singing to the tune of the song by the Franco-Italian artist who died in 1987: “Me, I sell pumps and second-hand clothes, lamps, frames, chairs and underpants, I’m waiting for you from Lille and tourists, cly ladies and good guys, bradeux and Brad Pitt. Let me sell off, let me, let me sell off, Boulevard de la Liberté every year. Let me sell off, let me go until the end of the night”.

Published on August 18, this very second degree clip with offbeat lyrics has already accumulated more than 1.2 million views on all the platforms on which it has been shared. Asked by BFM TVSandy Sims, the Dalida from Lille, indicated that she will be present during the sale, but that no concert will be organized, “but I think that France Bleu will make me sing a few songs”, she added .

“We knew that we had a good communication tool with this clip, but we are still surprised by such enthusiasm” recognizes Baptiste Monnot, director of communication for the city who piloted this project, quoted by 20 minutes. The goal? May people remember this 2023 clearance sale as the “Let me sell off. »
