LinkedIn publishes its top 10 most attractive start-ups for candidates in 2022

If fintech confirms its dynamism, young tech shoots specializing in ecological transition and real estate are entering the rankings.

What are the most attractive start-ups for professionals in France today? For the fifth consecutive year, the LinkedIn social network published its top 10 French start-ups on Wednesday.the most dynamicin terms of recruitment and the attention candidates give them. A ranking dominated in 2022 by fintech, these tech start-ups in the financial and banking sector. They monopolize the three places on the podium, with Swile in number 1, ahead of Qonto and PayFit, while Silvr is in 7th position.

Second in the ranking in 2021, Swile specializes in restaurant vouchers and dematerialized benefits for employees. As for Qonto (6th in 2021), the company offers a financial management solution for SMEs and the self-employed. PayFit (5th in 2021), for its part, specializes in the automation of payroll and human resources management. Finally, Silvr offers innovative financing solutions to digital companies.

The dynamism of this sector, which emerged stronger from the Covid-19 pandemic, is therefore undeniable.“, notes LinkedIn in its study, pointing out that Swile, Qonto and Payfit were “present in the ranking for the 3rd consecutive year“. For Sandrine Chauvin, international editorial director of LinkedIn, fintech “remains the major trend in the tech ecosystem worldwide“.

Ecology and real estate in force

For the first time this year, players in green tech – which combine tech and ecology – and proptech – tech and real estate – are entering the ranking. For the former, we find Lhyfe (5th, renewable hydrogen production) and Greenly (9th, management of its carbon footprint). For the seconds, appear in the top 10 Masteos (8th) and Beanstock (10th), both offering rental investment management services.

With a period under the sign of climate emergency and a more uncertain economic context, the companies that stand out are those that have been able to provide effective responses to these major issues, related for example to housing or energy. This is what explains in particular the strong entry of green tech and proptech in this 2022 edition, in France and abroad.», explains Sandrine Chauvin.

Within this top 10, we also find in 4th place the start-up Ankorstore, a B2B marketplace that simplifies supply for merchants by giving them direct access to 15,000 pre-selected brands. “The digital transformation of independent businesses since the pandemic seems to be taking hold and accelerating with the arrival of Ankorstore in the ranking“, points out the study. The young shoot is one of the seven newcomers to the 2022 edition of this ranking, as well as Polene (6th, leather goods), which “confirms for its part the attraction for Made in France“, according to LinkedIn.

In total, these ten start-ups have planned more than 1,500 recruitments over the coming year, reports the social network which, to develop its ranking, was based precisely on four criteria: growth in the workforce, commitment to the company’s LinkedIn page, the interest in job offers published on the social network and the attraction of top talent. The latter being measured by the percentage of employees from companies on the LinkedIn Top Companies list – that is to say offering the best career opportunities in France.
