Liverpool FC make shock move for Everton star Amadou Onana

If the last couple of days haven’t been crazy enough for fans of English Premier League club, Everton, they are about to get even more crazy! A reputable source has said “Liverpool FC are making a move for Amadou Onana.”

There is no doubt that although right now, Everton are in a big mess, but the one shining light this season has been Amadou Onana. A powerful box to box defensive midfielder and still only 21 years old. Liverpool have not been the same since Sadio Mane left the club and they see Amadou Onana as the player to tighten up their defence and add more creation to the attack.

Amadou Ba Zeund Georges Mvom Onana (born 16 August 2001) is a Belgian professional footballer. He signed for Everton on a five-year contract on 9 August 2022 for a reported £33m including add-ons. Since joining the club, he has showed fantastic athleticism, has become the engine room at Everton, something the Liverpool team are missing since Sadio Mane left back in June 2022.

Everton are in a big mess at the moment, currently without a manager, players turning up for medicals and signing for a different team, home grown future talent seeing their future elsewhere, board members reportedly getting into headlocks, no money to spend and in the relegation zone. A board that simply has no idea how to run a club and a chairman who doesn’t want to let go, no matter how damaging his presence is to the club.

Everton are simply falling apart and you can expect a mass exodus of their best players and a season that ends their top flight status. There is little wonder why players want to leave and why nobody wants to sign. They will find it difficult to get a manager in before the transfer window closes, a team without a manager and many ongoing problems from top to bottom, it’s not the most attractive club for any player to join right now.

Everton are likely to be relegated to the Championship and are unlikely to bounce back to the Premier League for many seasons to come. The Championship is a hard league to earn promotion from and the current Everton squad will be lucky to avoid relegation to the third tier as they are in a financial mess. The football league are extremely strict and with the current FFP situation, expect a 21 point deduction from day one in the Championship. Expect lowly bids for their star players, Pickford, Gray, Patterson, Mina, Mykolenko, Godfrey and Iwobi, leaving them with maybe enough money in the bank to avoid the points deduction but a squad that lacks the quality to remain in the Championship, let alone promotion back to the top flight.

Everton will become the biggest fallen giants, having had more top flight games than any other team in English football.
