The draw for the quarter-finals of the Europa League took place on Thursday.
The Europa League quarter-finals will be dominated by the poster between Manchester United, winners in 2017, and Sevilla FC, who hold the record for titles in the event, according to the draw made on Friday. The English led by Marcus Rashford will receive the first leg at Old Trafford, Thursday April 13, before moving the following week to Andalusia to challenge the team led by Jorge Sampaoli, Thursday April 20.
The European campaign of the Red Devils, current third in the Premier League, therefore retains a strong Spanish accent after their winning confrontations against FC Barcelona in the play-offs and against Betis, another Sevilla team, in the round of 16. The winner of the clash between Manchester and Sevilla FC, a C3 specialist with six titles (2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2020), will face Juventus Turin or Sporting in the semi-finals, opposed in the quarters.
