Winner of Russian Pavel Kotov in straight sets this Friday, Adrian Mannarino qualifies for his fourth final of the season.
Adrian Mannarino continues his great season. The 25th player in the world qualified for the final of the ATP 250 tournament in Sofia on Friday. To do this, he dismissed the Russian Pavel Kotov, 80th in the world, in just over 1 hour 25 minutes, in two sets 6-2, 7-6 (7/2).
Until recently French N.1, a place he ceded to Ugo Humbert, Adrian Mannarino is offering himself a fourth final this season after the tournaments in Mallorca, Astana and Newport. He won the last two, respectively in July and early last October.
He will face Briton Jack Dr (82nd) in the final in Bulgaria for a first confrontation between the two men.
With his 15 finals to his credit, Mannarino will logically act as favorite, at least in terms of experience, since his opponent finds himself for the first time at this stage of an ATP tournament at 21 years old. But Dr managed to defeat the 28th in the world, the German Jan-Lennard Struff, in the semi-final 6-3, 6-4.
