The Swiss Marco Odermatt, already winner on Saturday, won again over the giant of Kranjska Gora (Slovenia) on Sunday. Alexis Pinturault finished in third place after a fine performance from Kristoffersen (2nd).
Leader after the first round of the second giant with 28 hundredths ahead of Alexis Pinturault, the Swiss kept his lead to win ahead of the Frenchman, who finally finished 3rd behind Kristoffersen. Pinturault hangs with this 3rd place, his 77th podium in the World Cup.
With this new victory, the Swiss won the Giant’s Globe and the big Crystal Globe of this season. Giant Olympic champion in 2022, giant and downhill world champion last month, Odermatt confirms at 25 his hold on international skiing and enters even more into the legend. Impressive in the second heat, the Norwegian Kristoffersen made up for all his delay to finish 38 hundredths ahead of Alexis Pinturault. The Frenchman, although in time until the bottom of the track, lost all his lead in the last part.
