Milan, passersby stabbed for robbery at Central Station: six injured, two in serious condition, but not life threatening.  Stopped the attacker


MILAN. The State Police has reconstructed, in detail, the robberies with stabbings that led to the arrest of a young foreign citizen in the evening. The man, whose identification is still pending at the offices in via Fatebenefratelli, was blocked by the policemen of the Nibbio section of the General Prevention Office where, after having committed four robberies, he was attempting a fifth against an Italian woman aged 44.

The first attack
According to what was reconstructed by the police officers of the General Prevention Office and the Flying Squad, the man, at around 17.40, would have robbed a 39-year-old Italian woman in the Mortirolo underpass using a knife to rob her of her mobile phone.

The second robbery
Subsequently, in via Gluck, he robbed a Salvadoran citizen – then taken under code green to the Fatebenefratelli hospital for a hand wound – taking away her cell phone and ATM card.

The third attack
Shortly after, the criminal committed another robbery in via Sammartini, against a 34-year-old Spanish citizen, robbed of 20 euros and her cell phone. The woman was then transported in yellow code to the San Paolo.

The fourth shot
Subsequently, the man committed the fourth robbery in Viale Brianza against a 23-year-old Italian citizen, who went to the Polyclinic in yellow code, whose credit cards he stole, accepted at the polyclinic in yellow code. In this circumstance, three Italian citizens respectively (aged 24, 68 and 57) intervened to help him, who suffered various injuries and who were transported respectively in yellow code to the Policlinico, in red code to Niguarda and in red to San Carlo.

The men hospitalized in red code, according to what was announced by the police, are not in danger of life. The robber managed to flee again along via Venini where he attempted one last robbery against a 44-year-old when he was stopped by the motorcyclist patrol of the State Police. The man, still unidentified, will soon be transferred to San Vittore prison.

“Shocking news from my Milan, where the Central Station area is confirmed to be at serious risk: only the heroic intervention of some citizens has avoided an even more dramatic balance”, was the comment of the deputy prime minister and minister Matteo Salvini.
