Miles Amatosero (Clermont) to the Waratahs

According to Australian media The Roar, Miles Amatosero will return to Australia. The young second-line from Clermont (20 years old), who arrived in Auvergne in 2020, will be out of contract in June. If the ASM has sought to extend its stay in France, Amatosero ultimately chose to return home and commit to the Waratahs. The prospect of integrating the Wallabies in the short term would have tipped the balance.

Eddie Jones, the new coach, has expressed the interest of the national team for this player with a rare size (2.03 m; 125 kg), in a position where Australia does not lack resources (Skelton) , but sometimes sees local hopefuls pass under his nose in favor of other selections, such as Emmanuel Meafou, the Toulousain, recently summoned to the France team.

For Clermont, it is another member of the pack who leaves the yellow and blue ship, after captain Arthur Iturria (Bayonne), flanker Judicaël Cancoriet, announced in La Rochelle, Adrien Pélissié (Brive), or Sébastien Vahaamahina, who seems to be heading towards the end of his career. ASM already has four confirmed recruits for its package of forwards: pillar Mohamed Haouas, hooker Folau Fainga’a, third line Pita-Gus Sowakula and versatile second or third line Marcos Kremer.
