MMA and UFC legend Jose Aldo retires

At 36, MMA champion José Aldo closes a chapter in his life. According to several Brazilian sources and in particular the Twitter account of the " UFCRosterWatch “, which lists the athletes entering and leaving the UFC, the Brazilian has decided to retire from sport.

Considered one of the greatest fighters in MMA history with just eight losses and 31 fights won, he only had one fight left on his contract with the organization.

Multi-champion of Brazilian jiu-jitsu before joining the MMA league, the fighter knew how to mark the spirits by his regularity, notably being undefeated between 2010 and 2015 in the featherweight category of the UFC. He therefore ended his career with a defeat by unanimous decision against the Georgian Merab Dvalishvili, last August.
