Monaco continues against Bologna in the Euroleague

Monaco continues its faultless in March by remaining undefeated. On a very positive dynamic, the Roca Team validated Thursday its fourth consecutive success in the Euroleague against Bologna (81-68), during the 29th day of the regular season.

Monaco faced a fine team from Bologna who showed their collective strength in the first half. The Italians could even have taken off following a three-point shot from Marco Belinelli (31-26, 13th). But they experienced an air gap (0 points scored in 6 minutes) which allowed the Monegasques to come back and take the lead at the break (41-37).

In the third quarter, their fine marksmanship (9/13, 69.2%) and their best defense in the key (two two-point shots conceded) gave them a ten-point advantage (63-53) before the final round. This delay, the Italians have never caught up.

The Jordan Loyd-Elie Okobo duo at the wand

Still deprived of Mike James, suspended by his teamit was the duo Jordan Lloyd (15 points) and Elie Okobo (21 points) who took matters into their own hands, as has been the case for several meetings.

In organization and scoring, the two men led Monaco to victory. Just before half-time, Okobo gave the advantage to his team thanks to a lay-up a few seconds before the break (41-37). He even allowed himself a magnificent counter on the Georgian pivot Tornike Shengelia. In the third quarter, where the Roca Team widened the gap, Jordan Loyd was particularly illustrated.

There are five regular season games left to play for the Monegasques in the Euroleague, starting with the reception of Valence on March 24. They will only face one Top 8 team, Partizan, and no direct top 4 competitors.
