Montpellier won 3-0 on the lawn of FC Nantes for which keeping it in Ligue 1 is becoming more and more difficult.
Montpellier won 3-0 on the lawn of FC Nantes, which is moving away from a possible maintenance in Ligue 1. The Canaries remain stuck in 17th place, still one point behind Auxerre, who will play PSG this Sunday evening (8:45 p.m.) but also Lens.
Well back in the match, the Canaries were quickly surprised by the realism of Montpellier who let the game come to them. First thanks to Jordan Ferri in the 38th minute before taking a second hit on the helmet when Arnaud Nordin returned from the locker room (47th). Pierre Aristouy’s men were unable to react and took the thunder a third time through Falaye Sacko (88th).
“It’s not over but if we continue like this it will be over“. Jean-Charles Castelletto was disillusioned at the end of the new defeat of his team which did not know how to revolt and show the signs of a group which fights fiercely to save itself. Nantes is suffering with this 15th defeat this season, the 6th at home when the club has not won in Ligue 1 since February 12.
