Morawiecki on Tusk: Do you seriously think people have such short memories?

Donald Tusk dresses up as a defender of jobs, and this is one of the biggest scams; he tries to show that he is anti-German, and with his colleagues from the EU he blocked the tax on large-format stores. Donald, do you really think that people have such short memories, said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Jasło.
During his speech, the head of the government referred to the PO leader Donald Tusk and his tour around the country.
As he added, the head of the PO “dresses up as a defender of jobs”. “I thought I was going to burst out laughing when I heard it because it’s one of the biggest scams out there. It was his business guru, Mr. Janusz Lewandowski, who said that they were immune to the voice of entrepreneurs, dramatic calls for help; they were resilient, they prided themselves on it. No wonder then that unemployment continued to grow for several years of their rule, that was the reality said the Prime Minister.
Morawiecki added that now Tusk is talking about large-format stores. “Those big commercial stores. One would like to say: Donald, do you really think that people will believe you? Do you think people have forgotten how you, together with your colleagues from the EU, blocked the tax on large-format stores that the PiS government wanted to impose already in 2016? Seriously? Do you think people have such short memories?” Morawiecki asked.
“You can really get sick with a stomachache after such hungry pieces: Donald Tusk is fighting with German stores. Really, he wants us to believe it. He’s probably turned into some Hans Kloss now and he’s trying to show that he’s so anti-German. But I will say: these Brunner numbers are not with me,” added the Prime Minister.
The head of the government also stated that the return of Donald Tusk to the route and the so-called The “Tusk effect” meant that “after two years, they have the same amount in the polls as they had for the 2019 elections.” “This is the Tusk effect, so we can say that there is none” – he assessed.
He noted that there is a different effect of the return of the head of PO. “There is more hate, lies and more evil in Polish politics. This is the Tusk effect,” he said. “Unfortunately, there is more fake news, more hate, more hate. This is the industry of contempt he has created,” added Morawiecki.
Morawiecki pointed to the basic differences between PiS and PO.
“We created jobs; they were closing jobs, selling off the family silver.” he said. “They raised taxes, we are the party of the lowest taxes during the Third Polish Republic,” Morawiecki said. (PAP)
