Navalny crowned best documentary at the Oscars

Imprisoned for more than two years, Mr. Navalny was arrested on his return to Russia after suffering this serious poisoning which he attributes to the Kremlin. Last March, he was sentenced to nine years in prison on charges of “fraud” which he considers fictitious.

Produced by HBO Max and CNN Films, Navalny premiered on January 25, 2022 at the Sundance Film Festival. The prize for best documentary was awarded to him in February 2023 at the Bafta in London.
