The food giant Nestlé markets the Vittel brand through its subsidiary Nestlé Waters. JEAN-CHRISTOPHE VERHAEGEN
The measure follows the company’s decision to stop selling its Vittel water in Germany.
Nestle Waters announced on Tuesday the removalby the end of the year» of 171 positions on its Vosges site, i.e. a quarter of the 721 jobs, a measure essentially motivated by the decision taken in 2022 to stop the sale of its Vittel water in Germany.
The cessation of marketing of the Vittel brand in Germany has led to “a significant decrease in the volumes producedin the Vosges, a spokeswoman for the group told AFP, uring that Nestlé Waters had “searched for several months for solutions to minimize the impact“.
