OL qualified for the final of the Women’s French Cup without forcing against Fleury

Lyon won without forcing against Fleury (2-0) in the semi-final of the Women’s French Cup. Two early goals by Lindsey Horan (1-0, 8th) and Vicki Becho (2-0, 11th) gave OL a definitive advantage. Fabrice Abriel’s players, perhaps paralyzed by the challenge at Groupama Stadium, got off to a very bad start before finally leaving their half of the field and causing problems for the Lyonnaises.
With Léa Le Garrec, the Floriacumoise captain, very interesting in the second period, they got themselves into dangerous situations but a lack of accuracy in the last or penultimate gestures prevented them from deceiving Christiane Endler. In the end, OL mainly managed their advantage and could even have taken advantage of certain counterattacks to worsen the score. The team could find PSG if their intimate enemy takes out Thonon in the other semi-final.
