OM behind closed doors against Sporting in the Champions League, Nice also in C4 against Slovacko

Under the blow of a suspended total closed session, OM pays cash the serious incidents at the Vélodrome stadium, September 13 against Frankfurt in the Champions League (0-1). The UEFA Disciplinary Committee has indeed lifted this reprieve on Friday evening, which means that the next meeting of the Marseillais in C1, on October 4 at the Vélodrome, against Sporting Portugal, will take place in an empty stadium.

And that's not all since OM also received a partial closed session (closure of the North bend) for another meeting (OM-Tottenham, scheduled for November 1). OM is accused of a “use of smoke bombs”of the "throwing objects"a "use of lasers"of the "crowd movements" and one “blocking of public passages” (Frankfurt is also sanctioned and must reimburse OM for the damage of its supporters).

The suspended closed session had been imposed on OM after the excesses which had punctuated their semi-final return of the Europa League Conference against Feyenoord, on May 5 at the Stade Vélodrome. For “use of pyrotechnic devices” and “dissemination of provocative and hateful messages” (a tifo "UEFA Mafia" had been deployed in the South bend), the European body had sanctioned the Olympian club "of a match behind closed doors suspended, running over a period of two years". Along with a fine of 40,000 euros.

Nice behind closed doors against Slovacko

For its part, Nice also receives a closed session (October 13 for the reception of Slovacko) following the serious disturbances during the reception of Cologne, September 8 in C4. UEFA had opened a disciplinary case against the Nice (and against Cologne, also punished, with a fine of 100,000 euros and the travel ban for its supporters for its next two European matches).

UEFA pointed out the flaws in Nice in the organization of the meeting which degenerated with serious fights caused by the Germans. The Disciplinary Committee of the European body also prohibits Nice from selling tickets to its supporters for the next European trip and obliges it to display a banner in its enclosure where it will be indicated " No to racism ".
