Ospa in Motion
Maestro Evandro Matté presented last Thursday, in the chamber concert hall of Casa da Ospa, the orchestra’s program for 2023. The details revealed the musical events, which include opera, film music, free concerts, large gatherings guest soloists and conductors, didactic concerts, chamber music, among other activities planned throughout the year. The Opera’s Premiere I Pagliacci with the participation of the Tholl Group and the setting up of The Bachelors, by Simões Lopes Neto, with premiere scheduled for September and presentations at Teatro Sete de Abril, in Pelotas, were some of the novelties commented by the maestro and by Simone Adriano, interim president and administrative-financial superintendent, of Ospa. On the occasion, pianist André Carrara and oboist Érico Marques Cunha interpreted “Sonata for Oboe and Piano”, by Camille Saint-Saëns.

To create the new menu in honor of the anniversary of Porto Alegre, for the restaurant-experience, ACASA, chef Ricardo Dornelles was inspired by characteristics and customs of the Capital, in creative reinterpretations. In its four options, the tasting menu offers carter rice made with roasted ribs, vegetable tartare, with reference to the Bom Fim ecological fair, shrimp in squash in a stylized version, cream of crab with roe made from seaweed and presented inside a caviar can, among other delicacies, in a contemporary atmosphere with a local flavor. The quindim with coffee, inspired by the preference of the poet Mario Quintana, received an unusual reading with the delicacy dipped in a coffee reduction served in an appropriate cup. A truly amazing experience.

A team of great women from the arts will gather this weekend to present the female opera Suor Angélica, by Puccini, at Theatro São Pedro. The pianists Eiko Senda and Karin Engel, the director Camila Bauer, the choreographer Carlota Albuquerque and Liane Venturella in the costumes and a team of the best voices from Rio Grande do Sul will interpret the libretto as a tribute to the month dedicated to women. At the end of the show, a ****tail party around the photographic exhibition Looks over our sisters, with work by several women, will be offered in the theater’s foyer.

- The dolman delivery ceremony will kick off the 2023 edition of the Clash of Chefs, on the 13th, at Kia Sun Motors, when the chefs who will compete in the battles of the year will be known, on the multiplatform led by Anderson Caruso.
- International Women’s Day, this Wednesday, will be celebrated with a dinner whose menu will be prepared by chef Caio Silva, paired with wines from the Madames collection, from La Grande Belezza winery, by Pinto Bandeira, at POA Bistrô, at the Hilton Porto Alegre.
- “Without Weight & One Hundred Measures”, the new exhibition by visual artist José Spaniol is open to visitors at V744atelier, in Porto Alegre, marking the beginning of the 2023 program for the exhibition space designed and directed by visual artist Vilma Sonaglio.
- Next Saturday, at the Hotel Laghetto Viverone Moinhos, the Business Woman will take place, a broad panel bringing together topics of interest to the female entrepreneur public, with the participation of Martha Becker, Luana Fleck, Patti Leivas, Martha Rosinha, Cíntia Kepler, among others.
