YKS additional preference was announced by ÖSYM and it was announced that it will be held between Tuesday, September 12, 2023 and Sunday, September 17, 2023. The preference guide has been made available for preliminary information for additional choices to be made by candidates who have not yet been placed in a department. Candidates who want to make additional YKS preferences will pay an application fee of 50 lira.

YKS additional preference will be made for undergraduate departments with 20 thousand 574 students and ociate degree departments with 4 thousand 813 students, which remain vacant after placement, as well as for departments and programs with students who have not registered despite being placed. Prior to YKS additional preference applications, ÖSYM also announced that it has made the preference guide available to inform the candidates. In additional placement, as in previous years, candidates with scores below the minimum scores in the central general placement are not expected to be placed in ociate and undergraduate programs.

WHEN WILL YKS ADDITIONAL PREFERENCE START?
ÖSYM shared the date information for YKS additional preference. According to the statement made by ÖSYM, YKS additional preference application procedures will be carried out between 12-17 September 2023, according to the published additional preference guide.
HOW MUCH IS THE YKS ADDITIONAL PREFERENCE FEE?
Additional placement preference fee will be 50 TL. Among the candidates who have made a choice for additional placement and have not paid the additional placement fee, their preferences for additional placement will not be processed.
According to the decision of the OSYM Board of Directors dated 14.01.2019, no additional placement fee will be charged from the spouse of martyrs, children of martyrs, veterans, spouses of veterans and children of veterans.
HOW TO MAKE YKS ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES?
Candidates will make their YKS preferences, according to the rules in the guide, from ÖSYM’s ais.osym.gov.tr address or ÖSYM Candidate Transactions mobile application with their TR ID numbers and pwords.

According to the results of the 2023 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), additional placement procedures for the 2023-2024 academic year will be made by OSYM.
