At the beginning of each month, its set of measures that come into force. Meal vouchers, wear rates for mortgage loans, employer contributions on overtime, we take a look at the main new features for this Saturday, October 1, 2022.
Change in overtime employer contributions
Companies with 20 to 249 employees will now be able to benefit from a lump sum employer deduction of 1.50 euro per additional hour . Until now, only employers with less than 20 employees had access to it. This measure was brought by the law on the protection of purchasing power of August 16, 2022.
The ceiling for restaurant tickets is increasing
It will now be possible to pay up to 25 euros per day with meal vouchers , against 19 euros until then. This measure is provided for in the purchasing power section of the new finance bill. In addition and as a reminder, since August 18, the list of items that can be purchased with meal vouchers has been expanded. Foods that require cooking, such as pasta, rice, fish or meat, are supported.
Increase in the usury rate for mortgages
The usury rate – that is to say the maximum rate at which banks and credit institutions have the right to lend money – may go up to 3.03% for a home loan of period of less than 20 years.
Beyond this period, it may go up to 3.05%. Previously, the wear rate was set at 2.57% or 2.60% depending on the duration of the mortgage.
The new prevention professional passport
The prevention passport will be put in place from this Saturday. This will contain the certificates, certificates and diplomas obtained by the employee in terms of health and safety at work. These achievements can be recorded by the employer, the training organizations or the employee, depending on what was provided on their initiative. Like employees, job seekers will also be able to benefit from this passport.
The fuel discount remains at 30 cents
Since September 1, the fuel discount has increased to 30 euro cents per litre. This will be the case until October 31, 2022. It will increase to 10 euro cents per liter from November 1, 2022.
This reduction applies to all fuels, including for non-road uses and will benefit all private and professional uses: road, rail, river and maritime vehicles, agricultural machinery, etc.
New Covid vaccination campaign from October 3
The Minister of Health announced it on Tuesday : a new national vaccination campaign will start on Monday 3 October. This new booster dose will concern frail people, the over 60s, health professionals and people who are in contact with frail people. The vaccine will still be accessible to people who do not meet these criteria. In addition, beneficiaries will have access to new bivalent vaccines of Pfizer and Moderna protecting both against the original strain of covid but also the Omicron variant.
