According to Imran Rana, a spokesman for K-Electric, the national grid experienced a loss of frequency, resulting in power outages in several cities across Pakistan, including Karachi. Rana ured the public that K-Electric’s network is safe and secure. He also mentioned that his teams are actively monitoring the situation and efforts are being made to restore power in the affected areas.
