A man from Pakistan who entered India illegally through Nepal border to meet his wife in Hyderabad in November 2022 has been arrested. He said that Faiz Mohammad went to Sharjah in December 2019 to work in a garment company and met Neha Fathima (29), an Indian woman from Hyderabad. The top police officer said Mohammad helped Fathima get a job as a tailor and eventually fell in love with her. The two got married and Fatima gave birth to a boy, who is now three years old.
After Fatima returned to India, her parents asked Mohammad to come to India and promised to give her a new identity. Police said Zubair and Afzal took Begum Mohammad to an Aadhaar office in Madhapur and submitted the birth certificate and enrolled him as their son Mohammad Ghaus. The woman’s parents are absconding.
