Panvel doubles CD, reinforces network in the South and SP and targets the Midwest after 2025

“Grow, grow and grow. There is no alternative”, warned President and CEO of the Panvel pharmacy chain, Julio Mottin Neto, amid the inauguration of the brand’s largest distribution center (DC), located at the group’s headquarters in Eldorado do Sul , 40 kilometers from Porto Alegre. Governor Eduardo Leite honored the act, toured the CD, which doubled in size and said that it is great to see Rio Grande do Sul brands growing and abroad as well.
Mottin Neto confirmed, at the event on Monday night (13), the goal of opening 60 new stores in 2023, following the number of 2022, which includes strengthening its presence in the highly disputed and giant market in the city of São Paulo. But not only that:
“After São Paulo, it must be Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, which are an almost organic part of Paraná’s growth. They would be the next states to enter, in two to three years”, mapped out the group’s president.
The most recent unit of the chain to open was precisely in São Paulo, in the neighborhood of Moema. “The sale is going very well, with an excellent average. We are going to open three more this year and 20 will arrive by 2025 in the capital”, projected the executive and one of the shareholders.
“We are following the expansion project in the South, with many opportunities in Santa Catarina and Paraná and in São Paulo, in addition to the State. The expectation is to reach in 2025 a turnover close to R$ 7 billion. $5 billion,” lists Mottin Filho.

The DC gained a new storage area, with an investment of R$ 30 million and 11,000 vertical pallet positions in columns 21 meters high. The logistic structure has walls lined with fiberglass to ensure internal thermal comfort and meet the average temperature requirement of 27ºC.
In addition to the logistics unit in Eldorado do Sul, which debuted in 2014 – after the operation migrated from the Santana neighborhood, in Porto Alegre -, the group has another CD in São José dos Pinhais, opened in 2021 with an investment of R$ 30 million, which supplies stores and orders digitally in the Paraná, Santa Catarina and São Paulo markets.
In three years, the chain completes R$ 320 million in investments. In addition to the two DC projects, there are over R$200 million in new stores and R$60 million in technology.

Duplicated CD is still not being used to its capacity. Per day, when in full use, the park will process 1 million units per day. Another 400 jobs should also be opened as the logistics center increases processing, informed Mottin Neto.
“We are going to generate a lot of jobs for Eldorado”, he commented.
