An exhibition that triumphs in Venice, another to come at the mythical abbey of Jumièges, in Normandy, the photographer Nikos Aliagas has as busy a schedule as a primetime host on TF1.
Which is pretty good since the 54-year-old man juggles happily between these two professions. Recognizing however that, if one nourishes him materially, the other enriches him spiritually. “Photography is an intellectual nourishment that I needhe says. I like my job as a presenter and journalist, but I need photography, because it allows me to say things, to share emotions and to bear witness to the ping of time.

From a simple but haunting childhood pion, Nikos Aliagas has made a second life. Nearly ten different exhibitions in ten years, including that of Venice, which is currently experiencing a success that is as deserved as it is unexpected. Scheduled to last two months, it has just been extended until November in its prestigious setting of the Palazzo…
