PML-N workers will take to the streets in support of the army, now Nawaz Sharif has taken the lead in front of Imran Khan


The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) announced that it would organize nationwide protest rallies in major cities across the country, including Lahore, to oppose the decision to release former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

After Imran Khan got relief from the Islamabad High Court, now the head of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has taken the lead. He said the PML-N would hold protests in major cities across the country, including Lahore, against the court’s decision to release Imran Khan. Local media reported that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) announced that it would hold nationwide protest rallies in major cities across the country, including Lahore, to oppose the decision to release former prime minister Imran Khan.

A division bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted two-week interim bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.

Sama TV reported that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has called on the party leadership to mobilize its supporters for the protests. Protests will be held in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala and Kasur, with Maryam Nawaz leading the protest in the provincial capital of Punjab. Besides this, the PML-N also plans to hold protest rallies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Quetta and Karachi. Meetings will also be held in Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi to discuss the party’s strategy and action plan for the upcoming protests.

Sama TV reported that the decision to hold the protest has been taken amid growing political tension in the country. Reacting to the order for Khan’s release by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif slammed the judiciary for being “biased”, The News reported.
