Poll: The authority of John Paul II among Poles is growing

The percentage of Poles for whom St. John Paul II is an authority; 73 percent of respondents indicated that the Polish pope is an important figure in their lives, according to the Social Changes survey for the wPolityce.pl portal published on Wednesday.
As we read on the wPolityce.pl website, the respondents were asked the question: “Is Saint John Paul II an important figure for you?”
73 percent respondents answered yes, 19 percent. chose the negative answer, and 8 percent. has no opinion on the matter.
As reported, in an identical study conducted in November 2020, St. John Paul II was considered an important figure by 70 percent. respondents – 3 percentage points less than at present.
A study published by the wPolityce.pl portal shows that the Polish pope is an important figure not only for almost all voters of the United Right (95 percent), but also for 61 percent. voters of the Civic Coalition and 65 percent. voters of Poland 2050.
At the same time, 51 percent Poles assess badly or definitely badly media attacks on St. John Paul II. 20% are of the opposite opinion. surveyed, and 29 percent has no opinion on the matter.
The survey was carried out using the CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interview) method from 10 to 13 March 2023, on an online panel, on a nationwide, representative (in terms of: gender, age, size of place of residence) sample of Poles. N=1050 people participated in the study. (PAP)
