Pregnant women and postpartum women will be able to receive the bivalent vaccine from this second

The Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS) expands the target audience to receive the bivalent vaccine against Covid-19 starting this Monday (20), including pregnant and puerperal women. The population should also be aware of the temporary closure of Shopping João Pessoa as a vaccination point. While it is inoperative, care will be provided at the Modelo Health Unit, from 8am to 9pm.

Vaccination follows for people aged 60 years or older and immunocompromised individuals aged 12 years or older. There are 34 locations applying the immunizer. The opening of age groups is being staggered to avoid crowding at vaccination points.

Babies from six months to under 3 years old can also be immunized. The application takes place at the Álvaro Difini Family Clinic and IAPI health units, Morro Santana, Navegantes, Primeiro de Maio, Ramos, São Carlos, Santa Marta and Tristeza. The vaccination scheme for this group is in three doses: the second 28 days (four weeks) after the first and the third eight weeks after the second.

For children and adults, vaccination will be held in different places. The first dose for children aged 3 and 4 years will be applied at the Álvaro Difini Family Clinic and IAPI health units, Morro Santana, Navegantes, Primeiro de Maio, Ramos, São Carlos, Santa Marta and Tristeza. In the same places, the second dose will also be applied. Children between 3 and 4 years old vaccinated with Coronavac – who received the second dose at least four months ago – can have access to the third dose in the same places.

In the case of children from 5 years old, vaccination can be carried out in six health units, with service until 21:00: Álvaro Difini, IAPI, Primeiro de Maio, Santa Marta, São Carlos and Tristeza. There will be application of first and second doses in all locations.
