We would like to share how economic progress can be accelerated, said President Andrzej Duda during the opening of the Sustainable Development Goals Summit at the UN headquarters in New York.
President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda are on a visit to the USA, during which they take part in, among others: participation in the SDGSummit – the Sustainable Development Goals Summit. There he begins moderating a panel devoted to this topic.
“We are here at the SDGSummit and we would like to share how economic progress can be accelerated,” Duda said. “Poland presented its vision for the 2030 Agenda in July this year,” he recalled.
“I would like to cite some of our commitments,” he said. “My country will participate in programs that lead to a reduction in the level of poverty in the world, especially when it comes to large families,” he said. “We will also want to support countries’ cooperation when it comes to sustainable development. We will also continue to act in terms of energy flows, mainly relying on renewable energies and nuclear energy, he added. (PAP)
