President Duda: I hope that we will build the best possible Polish-Czech relations

I hope that over the coming years we will cooperate well and closely, building the best possible Polish-Czech relations in all formats in which we participate together, said President Andrzej Duda after the meeting with the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel.
President Duda reported that during the Thursday meeting, the following issues were discussed: the issue of energy security. He pointed to the prospects for the development of the gas network and interconnectors.
The topic of economic cooperation between PKN Orlen and Unipetrol was also discussed. “So the development of the Transalpine oil pipeline and supplies that could be made this way to refineries in the Czech Republic,” he said.
The Polish president admitted that he thanked Pavl for “very good conditions created for the Polish minority in the Czech Republic.” He pointed to the possibility of cultural development and education. “I asked the president for a kind of patronage over these matters, so that he would exercise it,” said Andrzej Duda.
“I hope that over the coming years, as long as I am still the President of the Republic of Poland here, we will cooperate well and closely, building these Polish-Czech relations on the best possible path, and our cooperation both in NATO and the EU, in the Three Seas Initiative, Bucharest Nine and all the formats we participate in together,” said Duda.
