Pro-Ukrainian activists in Vilnius poured ketchup on Viktor Shenderovych

In Vilnius, pro-Ukrainian activists tried to disrupt the speech of the writer Viktor Shenderovych. This is reported by the Telegram channel “Sota”.

Before the start of the performance, several people organized a picket and broadcast part of Shenderovich’s broadcast on the Echo of Moscow radio, in which the writer utters the phrase “our boys” as applied to the Russian military. The writer then said that he was quoting the statement of another person.

Activists offered people who came to Shenderovich’s performance to give money to the founder of PMC “Wagner” Evgeny Prigozhin.

During the break of the performance, Shenderovych went to the activists to chat. In response, those gathered began to interrupt his ego and ended up dousing him with ketchup. “Unfortunately, you didn’t understand anything,” Shenderovych said after the incident.

“As Ibsen said in the play “Enemy of the People”, “Never put on new pants when you go to defend the truth,” – quotes the writer of “Sota”.

  • Viktor Shenderovich is a member of the Anti-War Committee of Russia. From the very beginning of Russia’s war against Ukraine, the writer adheres to an anti-war position and sharply criticizes the actions of the Kremlin.
  • Shenderovych was added to the Ukrainian base “Mirotvorets” at the end of April. Before that, blogger Arkady Babchenko accused the writer on social networks of insufficient support for Ukraine. Shenderovych then expressed the opinion that after the war, the paths of Russia and Ukraine will diverge, and for now they have a common task – the overthrow of the Kremlin regime.
