The pay channel has signed an agreement with the American Basketball League to broadcast all of the Frenchman’s and his team’s matches for the entire regular season.
Good news for basketball fans and insomniacs! BeIN sports has just obtained the broadcast rights to all San Antonio matches for the current NBA season. The Spurs and their new star, French prodigy Victor Wembanyama, will thus be exposed to each of their matches on the pay sports channel, i.e. 3 to 4 times per week during the regular season.
Already broadcasting two live matches each night, beIN sports will be able to broadcast up to three matches per day when the San Antonio Spurs play a match. The Qatari channel follows the NBA on a daily basis with the “NBA Extra” program broadcast every day between 12:45 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., then the “Sunday Night Live” program every Sunday at 9 p.m. around the star match of the evening.

Victor Wembanyama, the first Frenchman to be drafted in first position by the NBA, has already made his debut with exceptional performances for a “rookie” (a beginner, editor’s note). With more than 20 points on average per game and co-leader of the NBA in the number of blocks (2.7 per game on average), Wembanyama has surprised all the specialists with his rapid adaptation to the best championship in the world. He will play again this Monday evening with the Spurs against the Indiana Pacers (at 1:00 a.m. on beIN Sports) to prove once again that he will be the next big star of world basketball.
