PSG win against Nantes and Kylian Mbappé becomes the only goal record holder in Paris

Thanks to goals from Messi, Hadjam against his side, Danilo Pereira and Mbappé in added time, Paris Saint-Germain won against Nantes (4-2), this Saturday evening, at the Parc des Princes, and consolidated its place at the top of Ligue 1 four days before its trip to Munich for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The game: 4-2
Deprived of Verratti (suspended), Hakimi, Kimpembe, Renato Sanches and Neymar (injured), PSG attacked their meeting against Nantes on bases comparable to his production from the Stade Vélodrome (3-0)six days earlier, but he also experienced a scenario comparable to that known against Lille (4-3), February 19. For about twenty minutes, the Parisians were dominating and they logically scored, first by Messi (12th, 1-0), upon receiving a cross from Nuno Mendes, then by Hadjam, against his camp ( 17th, 2-0).
But then they backed off and gave Nantes the opportunity to gain confidence. The strike from Blas, in a closed angle which was not too close anyway, offered a reduction in the score (31st, 2-1). PSG’s lack of defensive aggressiveness on set pieces allowed Ganago to equalize with a header just before the break (38th, 2-2).
In the second half, the Parisians returned to the pitch invigorated and Mbappé’s service for Danilo (60th, 3-2) put the capital club back on the path to success. Zaire-Emery, offset by Messi, had the opportunity to widen the advantage a little more but, in the end, he will leave this honor to another player, in added time.
Player: Kylian Mbappé
Of course, it’s him again, once again. Even if, in the game, the French international striker has not often been successful against Nantes, the facts are there: an assist for Danilo (60th) and a goal (90th + 2), his 201st with Paris . Mbappé, now the only top scorer in the history of PSG ahead of Edinson Cavani, forced fate this Saturday not to wait one more match before winning this record.
In the 63rd minute, when the referee designated the penalty spot for a foul by Hadjam on Mukiele, it was he who grabbed the ball. But the use of VAR overturned the referee’s decision. Then, several times, Mbappé struck, tried to penetrate the surface, but he missed a bit of accuracy. Until this 92nd minute when, served by Pembélé, he controlled, hit, framed and scored.
