Quentin Fillon Maillet: “My first 10 out of 10 in the sprint of the season”

Quentin Fillon Maillet (7th in the 10 km sprint, at 56”6) : “I’m happy with my race because I gave the maximum throughout the race. I’m pretty happy with these shots, I think it’s my first 10 out of 10 in sprint of the season. I’m happy to do it, a little late, but it’s done! On skis, I struggled. It is sure that the Covid did not give me energy. That’s no excuse: Johannes (Boe) is still having a great race.

“I’m happy because I tried to be the best everywhere. I made no mistake. I am placed for the pursuit”

Quentin Fillon Maillet, 7th in the sprint

I am satisfied because I tried to be the best everywhere. I made no mistake. I am placed for the prosecution. I know myself quite well: when there is a long period without competition, a week or a little more, I always need a warm-up time on the races knowing that I did not do any intensity or anything specific to prepare for that . I hope that, at least on the skis, it was the warm-up time and that this weekend it will be faster.

The 10 out of 10, it’s been so long since I had done one! We will say that it is normal to do it now. Afterwards, I’m not surprised by my form in skiing, not disappointed either, but I knew it could produce something like that. Doing ten out of ten is for me the essential point of this race. »

Antonin Guigonnat (13th at 1’15″5, 10/10) : “I’m not in the best shape of the year, but I have good hopes for the pursuit. Sometimes, I have a little trouble starting the week and it’s better for the future. It’s going to be complicated to get on the podium. My personal ambitions and goals are really to be able to play and have fun.

I think I will really have plenty to do. I made two very nice shots today. I knew how to take the time I needed at bedtime and then I started standing without restraint. It’s this kind of standing that made me get results and when I’m in there, I have a blast. »

Fabien Claude (19th at 1’26″5, 9/10) “I really wanted to do a race for myself. I’m not happy with the place, but the way yes. I played a little. I do a very nice lying, a very nice standing. There is a small mistake on the last one. I think it’s really not far, and one day, with a little more success, it will pass. Throughout the season, I always missed a little thing.

“I miss this little thing to go all in front. I’m going to work in that direction.”

It’s not for nothing that I do four flower ceremonies and no podium. I believe that in the first thirteen of the general, I am the only one not to have a podium. I miss this little thing to go all in front. I will work in that direction. I didn’t finish my career today, there will be great opportunities to come”.
