“Europe 1 Sport”, it’s complicated

After a sharp decline in sport in recent years, the Lagardère group’s radio has decided to install Europe 1 Sports every evening of the week, from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., a program hosted alternately by Lionel Rosso and Virginie Phulpin. This return starts in pain with 44,000 listeners in an average quarter of an hour, from Monday to Friday. That is a loss of 10,000 listeners in one year on this tranche. On Saturdays, the show lost 11,000 listeners over a year and 20,000 on Sundays. Nevertheless, Europe 1 had warned that it wanted to give time for this new meeting to settle down…

“The Spirit of Sport”, a strong comeback


Every Sunday on France Inter, from 6 to 7 p.m., Nathalie Iannetta, accompanied by the columnist Claude Askolovitch, receives a common thread guest, all embellished with live broadcasts and reports. And it works. The Sports Spirit brings together 453,500 listeners compared to 367,500 a year ago, an increase of 23%. A good omen for the future.

“Le Club Info”, shy beginnings

At Radio France, not all new sports have the same start. Scheduled every Sunday from 8 p.m. to midnight on France Info, The Info Clubhosted by Laurie Delhostal and Victor Matet, juggles between live broadcasts, reports and interviews. Bixente station consultant Lizarazu is also part of the cast. The show brings together 83,000 listeners, a drop of 28% in one year on the installment (116,000 in September-October 2021). Franceinfo also wants to give time for the show, the first of its kind on its antenna, to settle down.

“Bartoli Time” (RMC), it performs

Unlike its competitors, RMC is used to sports material, devoting its 3 p.m. to midnight segment to it every day. Whether Rothen ignites (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.) is down (minus 57,000 listeners) and After Football (10 p.m. to midnight) up (+ 18,000) over one year, the new Bartoli Time begins his Sunday adventure well (7 p.m. to 8 p.m.). The program hosted by Marion Bartoli brings together 76,500 pairs of ears, i.e. an increase in the tranche of 33% in one year (57,500 listeners in September-October 2021).
