Only 26% of plastic packaging are recycled in France, according to UFC-Que Choisir. A proportion much lower than that of our European neighbors. With its 130 articles, the anti-waste law for a circular economy (Agec) wants, among other things, to make up for this delay. It plans to end single-use plastic packaging by 2040. This includes, for example, detergent cans, shampoo bottles or toothpaste tubes.
The ambition is there. The Agec law sets two major intermediate milestones. On the one hand, there is a need to reduce single-use plastic packaging by 20% by the end of 2025, obtaining at least half of this reduction through reuse and reuse.
