It all started with a tweet, broadcast on June 30, at 2 a.m. Relaying the video of a fire in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis), its author says: “They have just burned the works for the 2024 Olympics.” Within a day, the tweet had already been viewed five million times. The world located the fire: it was actually a RATP bus depot. The swimming pool under construction a few dozen meters away, which will not host any Olympic event but will serve as a training site, was only slightly damaged. Contacted by The worldthe company responsible for the site confirms that the site is spared and announces the reinforcement of security at Aubervilliers as on the other sites of the Games.
