Simone Inzaghi, in office since June 2021, has extended his contract as Inter Milan coach for one year until 2025, the Italian Championship leader club announced on Tuesday.

Inzaghi, 47, led the Lombard club to the Champions League final last season where his team lost 1-0 to Manchester City.
Under his leadership, Inter have won the last two editions of the Italian Cup (2022, 2023). Before Inter, the former player, younger brother of Filippo, managed Lazio Roma from 2016 to 2021.
Inter are leaders in the Italian Championship with nine points from three matches, level on points with arch-rivals AC Milan. The two sides will face off on September 16 when Serie A resumes after the international break.
