Seriously injured in the neck, Yusuf Tuncer (Tulle), placed in intensive care


Yusuf Tuncer, right pillar of SC Tulle, a 4th division club (Federal 1), seriously injured in the neck on Sunday during a meeting against Valence d’Agen, was hospitalized and placed in intensive care at the Limoges University Hospital as announced his club on Monday. “He had two cervical emergency operations and was placed in intensive care. He’s scheduled for a CT scan. Doctors are not yet commenting on his condition.Tullist President Marc Lyssandre told the newspaper the mountain.
With only two minutes left in Sunday’s game, the 29-year-old right prop did not get up after a scrum. Several of his teammates, as well as a player from Valence d’Agen, firefighter and rescuer, then gave him first aid on the lawn before the emergency services took charge of him for an hour. He was then evacuated by helicopter to the Limoges University Hospital.
Yusuf Tuncer played in Brive between 2013 and 2016. He notably played four European Challenge matches, six Challenge Cup matches and one Top 14 match.
